In 1999 the British Fund supported Jinty Crocket, a secretary from the Midlands, who went to Tanzania for 6 months with Health Projects Abroad.
As part of a small group, she helped build a Clinic and Classroom building and engaged in community health care projects.
In 2001 the Fund supported four first year medical students from Bristol University who went for 4 months to Ghana where they worked and helped out in various rural and urban hospitals.
The Fund will consider applications from individual students who, in tune with the philosophy of "Reverence for Life" are motivated to engage in voluntary community health care work either in this country or in developing countries abroad.
